يخلط الحليب والحليب المكثف وخيوط الزعفران في مقلاة سميكة القاع ويترك ليغلي على نار متوسطة.
تخفض درجة الحرارة ويترك حتى يسمك الخليط بعد الغليان إلى كثيف ويقلل إلى حوالي 1 ½ كوب، لمدة 10-15 دقيقة. ويحرك من حين لآخر لكي لا يلتصق.
يضاف مسحوق الحليب ومسحوق الهيل ويخلط جيداً.
تتطفئ النار ويترك المزيج لبرد على درجة حرارة الغرفة.
يتم تقطيع حواف شرائح الخبز لتشكل أربع مربعات متساوية.
تدهن شرائح الخبز بالسمن على الطرفين، وتسخن المقلاة لتحميص الخبز قليلاُ على نار هادئة، حتى يصبح لونه بنياً ومفرمشاً.
يتم ترتيب قطع الخبز المقلي على طبق التقديم. ويصب المزيج المحضر مسبقاً.
يزين بالفستق والكاجو واللوز. ويقدم ساخناً أو مبرداً في الثلاجة لمدة 30 دقيقة قبل التقديم.
